Al-Amal Academy is a fully accredited, full-time Islamic school for grades K–9 in Calgary, Alberta. Operated by Prairie Land Public School Division in partnership with the Pen and Paper Foundation, the academy serves the Muslim community of Calgary and beyond.
We are dedicated to fostering academic excellence, strong character, and a sense of community. Our advanced academic program aligns with the Alberta Program of Studies and is delivered through innovative, faith-based teaching practices.

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Al-Amal Academy. Alhamdulillah, I am grateful for the opportunity to begin another year of learning, growth, and service to our community. responsible, and compassionate members of the Ummah. Guided by the Qur’an and Sunnah, we remain committed to creating an environment where every child feels safe, supported, and inspired.
This year, we continue to strengthen our commitment to holistic development rooted in Al-Amal Academy’s mission and values. Our classrooms are structured, engaging, and inclusive—designed to nurture both strong academics and strong character.
We focus on teaching practices that spark curiosity, build perseverance, and encourage a love for learning, all while grounding students in Islamic principles. Our dedicated staff brings professionalism, compassion, and care to every interaction, ensuring each child receives meaningful guidance and support.
At Al-Amal Academy, we are thankful for the ongoing support of our Board of Trustees, the Pen and Paper Foundation, and Prairie Land School Division. Their leadership enables us to uphold the high standards of faith-based education that define Al-Amal Academy and to continue expanding opportunities for our students.
