Welcome to the Al-Amal Academy the first full-time Islamic School in the North West of Calgary! We are very excited about this new journey of growth and learning for our students, parents and community members. It has been a long time waiting but Alhamdulillah we are here and certain that with the help of Allah (SWT) we will make Al-Amal Academy the best school in Alberta.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the board members of the Pen and Paper Foundation and the central administration of Prairie Land Public School Division for their tremendous efforts in forming this partnership and establishing the school upon a strong foundation of support and educational excellence for our students. I would also like to thank all the committed and dedicated staff, parents and volunteers for their tireless efforts and ongoing dedication to the betterment of our school over the past year. We would not be where we are without you.
My staff and I are committed to ensuring that every student achieves their full potential in all areas of their learning. We are a school that strives in ensuring high academic achievements for all our students through an emphasis on balanced literacy, numeracy, inquiry-based learning, and the integration of technology. As well, we intend to foster exemplary character in our students founded upon the Prophetic example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW). Finally, our school is committed to building a community that is caring, respectful and compassionate for all.
As you may be aware, in addition to the Alberta curriculum, Al-Amal Academy offers a Quranic Arabic, Qur’an, and an Islamic Studies program. We also have dedicated Quran teachers solely for helping our students to memorize the Holy Quran (the Tahfeeth program) with proper tajweed.
As the Principal of Al-Amal Academy I take full ownership in making our school a School of Excellence, where our students are nurtured through mind, body, and soul. However, my mission can only be possible with your support and cooperation and thus I look forward to our conversations in the near future.
