What is a Blended Homeschooling
(Shared-Responsibility) Program?
Shared Responsibility means that you, as a parent, partner with Al Amal Online Academy and Prairie Land Public School Division to share the responsibility of your child’s education. Part of the learning is provided by the school online, and the rest is facilitated by you at home.
Home Education Component
You choose and deliver the portions of the curriculum that best suit your family’s approach and values. You have the flexibility to incorporate additional lessons and activities that enrich your child’s learning.
Al Amal Online Academy Component
Your child will participate in Alberta Education curriculum classes through a fully accredited online platform. Faith-based programming, including Arabic instruction and Islamic Studies, is integrated both seamlessly and offered as stand alone classes. Teachers provide regular assessments, feedback, and support, ensuring your child meets or exceeds provincial standards.
Prairie Land Public School Division Support
Prairie Land is a leader in online education in Alberta, recognized for its innovation and dedication to student success. As the supervising school authority, Prairie Land ensures compliance with all Alberta Education requirements and provides resources to support both you and your child.

• Contact our admissions team at 825-996-5399 or fill out the initial registration form to begin the registration process for the blended program.

• Work closely with Al Amal Online Academy teachers and coordinators to create a Shared
Education Plan that meets your child’s academic and faith-based needs.
• Choose which courses you prefer to teach at home and which ones your child will take
online with Al Amal Online Academy.

• Online Courses: Your child will follow a structured schedule for subjects taught by Al Amal Online Academy.
